Right now I'm working on another book. There is always a book I'm working on when writing. But anyway one of my characters is a lab assistant so sometimes I add things like people looking at them in the way you would at something under a microscope or funny science things that people would jump to like zombies-infested bacteria. I also use a lot of sea-like jokes or terms or descriptions since its a merfolk book so you can't have something written without dropping that in. One person was referring to having things growing on his butt like it would be a ship and some other little sea creature terms.

That sounds like an interesting book. Does he have a sea creature as a pet.

None of them have a sea creature as a pet but each one does have a sea creature that represents them. Book one is a seahorse, and book two is an octopus. Each guy also has a power. Book the power using water as a portal/mirror which is why his animal is and octopus.
