I use to do freelance writing but now do other freelance work. I can tell you that you might not get the pay that it is worth. Another thing you know there is a program that most of the buyers or people you are going to write for has called copyscape. They will be able to take your writings and check to see if they come of the internet which is call palgerizm. Be careful. Sometime even writing your own you can end up writing something some one has the same idea with just about the same wording. It is a great way to start a business. Make sure you write in a style you are comfortable with and find buyers that are comfortable with your style. Also get in writing from the exactly what they are wanting. You will find that they tell you one thing and want another and you do not want to put all the work in and not get paid..Best thing is ask ask and ask again all the information you need for that buyer..

Don't quit your day job until you get a good reputation. It's hard to get rich freelancing and usually it's your reputation that would sustain your career.

Don't give up even though it's not going to be easy and it can be frustrating at times. And as someone said earlier, don't give up your day job. A good website is http://www.freelancewriting.com you'll find all types of jobs and resources on there. :)
