Do You Ice Skate? Have You Ever Gone Sledding?

When I was a child, I used to ice skate on the canal across from my cousins; house. But I have always had weak ankles so I was not a good skater and often ended up with blood blisters on my feet. So I ended up quitting. I also did sledding on those canal banks which was not the best idea since there were many trees on those slopes, as well as bumps and gouges in the dirt. But it was still fun. We kids were all dressed up in our warmest winter clothes with several layers of sweaters and sweatshirts under our coats. We had several pairs of gloves and mittens on our hands. But the most crazy thing...and we all did it...were the many layers of socks plus plastic bread bags to keep our feet dry while we were out playing in the ice and snow.
