A Festive Weekend.

I actually almost titled this “Tuesday Afternoon,” which is the name of a Moody Blues song, which was one of my late Daddy’s favorite bands. Since I had another title in mind, I’m mentioning it now because… I want to, lol. Anyway. I had a pretty festive weekend, which was fine by me. :) Friday: I went shopping with my best friend and picked up a lot of stocking stuffers, as well as hot chocolate and marshmallows. I wasn’t feeling too well later (upset stomach), but it eventually passed over the weekend. Saturday: I walked to the convenience store with my niece, but then I attended a Book and Drink Secret Santa gathering with my sisters, best friend, niece, brother-in-law’s sisters, and a few friends. It was so much fun. There was music, food, laughter, and presents, lol. I drew my younger sister’s name, so this is what I got her: - Rosemary’s Baby (book). - Dunkin Donuts ground coffee. - A mug and coaster, but I forgot what it says on them lol. My best friend ended up drawing my name, so this is what she got me: - Stine Tinglers, which includes 10 short stories. It’s a book by R.L. Stine, the author of Goosebumps. My younger sister and I saw him at a book lecture several months ago, and he read one of the stories from the book, and I decided I wanted it. - RumChada Peppermint Bark. - Coffee and Rum Liqueur. - Two hot chocolate bombs, one milk chocolate and one peppermint (you drop the hot chocolate bomb in hot milk). - Small tin of butter cookies. I’ll try to upload a picture later if I remember. It’s on my phone and I’m busy right now. I had a good time. It was like a Christmas party, which is something I needed what with the lack of festive events on our end this year. Sunday: I walked to Rite-Aid to pick up some candy for my best friend’s birthday gift. Her birthday was yesterday, but she celebrated it with my younger sister and me on Sunday. We did the usual — snacks, pizza, and a movie. We watched Black Christmas (2006). I bought her a holiday-themed teddy bear with the year on it. Her late favorite Aunt used to get them for her, and with her (best friend’s) permission, I’ve taken over so that she can still get one. This one looked like a chef about to bake, which is perfect for her and sooo cute. I also got her some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I didn’t do much when I got home because I was pretty tired. Anyway, that was my festive little weekend, which I’ve been looking forward to for a while. Welp, back to work I go! You all stay safe and take care. :)
