What Was Your Most Embarrassing Moment?

Have you ever had one of those moments in your life that made you so embarrassed, yet later became a funny memory? My most embarrassing moment was when I was in high school and our high school band members were tasked with painting all the town swimming pool and buildings, etc. It was quitting time and as I was cleaning up I accidentally bumped a friend with my wet brush. She thought I did it on purpose, so she came at me with her wet brush. I moved backwards and tripped over one of the big 5- or 10-gallon paint cans. It spilled and I fell in that mess. I got up and went to the person in charge who gave me a hand broom and dustpan to clean up the spilled paint. As I started cleaning, I slipped again. The dustpan that was full of paint went up out of my hand and into the air, landing paint side down on my head. So by that time I was covered head to toe with white paint. I earned the nickname "White Paint" for awhile. Years later, I came back to town with my husband and small children to find that the area where I had spilled the paint had become a large time out square where the lifeguards would put kids who were running and otherwise breaking the rules. Yes this really did happen, and I had to walk myself home past all sorts of people relaxing on their porches wondering what happened to the kid covered in paint.
