Every new Site wants cookies

I feel discouraged when these Sites want cookies. I am not sure how safe it is to let them use cookies.
I may miss being on good Sites as the moment they have this condition I just move on.
May be there is no harm in giving in to their condition. I must admit I know nothing about the safety or otherwise of this condition.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Basically, cookies are not dangerous. Its presence will also not infect your device with viruses. However, because the purpose and function of cookies is to store your various data, you must be careful because they can be used for malicious purposes.

@allknowing You can set tracking in your browser so that if a website wants to do that, it will be blocked. Usually there is in tracking protection settings.

That is common now Unless you let them they will not let you open their Site
