The journals

I've probably written about this little tradition of mine before, but I'm guessing it wasn't since last year, so here I go again.
Every year since 1983, I have kept a journal. I guess most of my journals contain just little boring snippets of my life, but some important things, too. At some point, I started calling the journals "blessing books" because in them I write about the many ways God has blessed me as well.
My personal tradition has been to try to finish one year's journal, close to midnight New Year's eve, and begin the next a minute or so after midnight.
My journals have been finished at home, once out in a parking lot when I was with a friend's church youth group on New Year's Eve, and probably more than once at that same friend's house. He knew very well about the tradition, and while other people were saying things like "Get ready to count down." or, "It's almost (insert year), get ready to sing Auld Lang Syne." He would say something like, "Leave Stacey be, she's trying to finish the journal."
There have been a few years when I haven't been able to completely finish the journal--I'll have to look to see which years--but I know a few of them have been unfinished--my goal is to try to get to the very last page by the time midnight New Years' Eve comes--so this year, seeing as how I have only four pages left, I will very likely finish.
Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

That sounds really neat to do it that way. Something to think about. Happy New Year.

I also keep a journal that appears on Deviantart writing about entertainment, sports and life events as a form to release my tension of today's events.
