I watched Logan's Run. It was made in 1976. I watched it on Tubi. I know there was a tv show based on the movie and book. No, I haven't read the book or seen the show. This movie has Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan, Roscoe Lee Browne, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Anderson Jr., and Peter Ustinov in it. Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence. Spoiler Below. In this movie, people live in domes. A man named Logan is a Sandman (cop) who hunts down runners (people who run from doing the carrousel, which is where you are sent to die (and reborn). People live to 30 years old in this society (from what I read the book says 21). They know when it is time is when their crystal in their hand turns a blinking red. Logan and his friend celebrate the carrousel and getting rid of a runner. Logan picks a girl who is named Jessica (not me). She asks him why people run and she also makes him wonder about how many people are reborn after the carrousel. He asks his friend if he had ever seen someone reborn. He hasn't seen any. Logan had found something on the runner before he "died." He asks a computer what it is and is given his next assignment which is to become a runner and found out about Sanctuary. He and Jessica become targets. They do found other runners who know about Sanctuary. They escape to an abandoned plant and an icy cave. A robot named Box wants to put the in ice so they will last forever. Logan "kills" Box. They discover an outside which is overgrown America. They meet an old man who doesn't have a crystal and he tells them of olden times. He owns alot of cats. Logan decides to go back to bring others. He tries to get others to believe, but they don't. He doesn't tell the computer anything he had seen and the computer malfunctions which causes the dome to break. Everyone leaves and finds outside. I liked this movie. Next week I'm watching The Village (Kreuz des Südens) (it is not the M. Night Shyamalan movie. This one is made in 2015)

I saw Logan's Run a long time ago. I thought the whole idea was cool and made you wonder if your time was up what would you do. Run, run, run... That is me. At thirty my life was just beginning. Now I am almost sixty so I still want to think I have a lot of life still in me. (lol) Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

I loved Logan's Run back in the day. I was so intrigued by it. It'd pop up on tv each year and I couldn't wait to see it again. SANTUARY - I always thought of Logan's Run whenever I heard that word throughout my life . I did see it maybe a couple years ago . . . it had been a long time . . . and now it looks so dated .

It sounds like a cross between the Lottery by S. King and the Hunger Games. I never saw Logan's Run.
