this is a tough one!! actually, lack of oxygen and proper breathing support lead to snoring, this is, in most cases, uncontrollable. trust me no one wud like to snore!! its unavoidable. be little more considerate, u can do one thng, whenever he starts snoring, wake him but this will only lead to unhealthy sleeping and a disturbing morning. u can convince him to consult a doctor, it works. lastly u change ur bedroom, if this is not possible get a pair of cotton buds to immune urself from insanity.

I agree with you, I snore and I can't help it, lol, I had my tonsils and adnoids removed in April 2004, by Jan. 2005 My breathing all of a sudden got twice as worse than it was before the sugery, I developed sleep apnea, due to weight gain/stress. I think those who don't snore around you find it annoying, and I agree, If I knew I was snoring, I would wake up, I am very self-conscious when I spend the night at someones house.

Well, sleeping on your back causes snoring. So try to advise your friend about how it helps to just sleep on his side rather than lying on his back so that you can both sleep well at night without that frequent breathing noise. If my memory serves me right, I think I have read somewhere that snoring can also be a sign of danger as a snoring person can immediately run out of air due to difficulty in breathing which can further lead to total absence of breathing (apnea) that is why I sometimes try to wake my mom up whenever she's snoring a little louder than the usual. ?

you have to really talk to your friend about it. tell your friend that you are getting really uncomfortable with it and then go with him to a sleep clinic. there are a lot of clinics for that kind of case in hospitals you just have to know the nearest one. just let your friend know that you will be there for him.
