Temperament and Character

January 24, 2024 4:18am CST
I got to know that temperament is inborn. It is the hardware. On the other hand, character is shaped by our individual experiences and social environment. It serves as the software. Additionally, character is the interaction of our temperament and environment. And personality is the combination of temperament and character. I have found out that my temperament using the MBTI is INFP.INFPs are part of intuitive feelers who has NF in their type.I have learned that my type can go well with those having NF in their type and clash most likely with those having SJ in their type.INFPs value self-development.And they can be sensitive. It is also important if you know your cognitive function after knowing your MBTI personality type..In my case my dominant function is introverted feeling and my auxiliary function is extroverted intuition.Aside from MBTI, one can also use Big Five personality test to know one's temperament.I have scored higher in agreeableness and openness in there. And I feel like it is really important if we know our temperament especially our parents or guardians not to mention our teachers because individuals would interact with them most of time in their lives. One's temperament can be healthy and unhealthy depending on the kind of upbringing we received for instance. In your case, did you take an MBTI test already? If you did, what's your temperament? What are the things you learned you about yourself after knowing it?
