Thankfully, it didn't rain while I was out. It's still sunny outside.
I knew I was too early. Since I had to move across the street because of roadwork anyway, I stopped at the bank and deposited the check from my brother before going back across the street to the park where the Food Bank distribution is. Had to wait a while for them to start because I was still early, but chatted with some people while I waited.
Now I'm home, and I'm pretty sure I've had my hour walk at least today. It's 12:31, and time for lunch. After that I'll get the mail and then come home and do some Bible study.

I'm glad you got stuff done. Better to be early and have to wait, than late and miss out.

I can relate to having to wait in line at the Food Bank in Lake Charles when there is either cold weather or a natural disaster happens either in Lake Charles or a close city nearby.

You hit it lucky!!! Our weather was supposed to be partly cloudy with a very very slight chance of rain. Well it got windy, the clouds came in and covered the area, and we had showers. OH, and it was awfully cold. I got my gas bill and I was hesitant to open it, I was visualizing a bill that was over $100 because I used the heater every day this past month. I about fell over in shock, it was a quarter of what I expected!!!
I had some of my home made vegetable, beef, noodle soup for dinner tonight. I couldn't eat the whole amount I served up it was so full of vegies and noodles. (I had yellow and Italian squash, broccoli, carrots, corn, peas, onions, garlic...) in short it was a heavy duty meal by itself.
I did about a half an hour walk today. I fed my outside cats, then came back up and got my recyclables and took them down and got my mail, then my orange and white lady cat came trotting across the carport roofs and shot me "the look" and meowed loudly because she couldn't get to the cat food-so I took some canned down and scrapped up the stuff that stuck to their dish. My left ankle is letting me know that I walked too much again. Enjoy being able to take your walks, my friend that ended up in the hospital ended up there because she fell and broke her hip Sunday evening. The break was a compound break and they had to put in a rod. I'm still not too sure when she will be released. Originally it was supposed to be Friday or Saturday, now it's not too sure.
