Today I had ringegourd poppy seed curry and rice. Ringegourd is called jhinge in bengali. It is a watery vegetable. Poppy seed is crushed into paste and called posto. They are mixed together in a curry with potatoes. Then they are eaten with rice.

Is Ringegourd similar to "Tori/Turai"?
I think Poppy seed is used a lot in the Bengali cuisine.
I have seen it in some Vlogs by a few Bengali origin folks.
I might try such a curry but probably with Roti or Parantha.
