Awkward isn’t it?

The AI teacher in a particular school has earned a ‘her’ to its name. Isn’t it awkward? With a proficiency in languages and several other information, promising a secure future for the human students, the school has, since then, managed a hundred percent attendance. It’s awkward when someone you’re talking to in a room where others aren’t present, behaves normally and suddenly grows conscious when someone enters the room. I mean, what happened? The most common thing with students, is absenteeism and cheating. It matters nothing to them when they are caught. They care less about others, leave alone the teacher. Why, even when they go for a random shooting spree, they feel nothing. Losing on our human feelings? How awkward! People ask, ' why are you unhappy'? that's understandable. But 'why are you happy?' that's an awkward question. There was a teacher who when wished 'good morning' by a student, used to ask, 'what is so good about the morning?' How awkward must the student have felt!! The other day, I saw a man talking to himself. I had thought it was someone on the line, over Bluetooth. He looked at me and smiled. How awkward I felt!! People, I’ve seen, go for walk. Some of the adults, in their fifties, invariably will indulge in fritters on the way, sometimes pizzas, burgers, momos, when they return, because they feel hungry. Looking at them I feel awkward. Where's the thought, word, deed synchronicity? Joining a laughter club to laugh!! How awkward is that?!! Pic courtesy: PixBay

AI teacher's gender: Unusual, but okay. Sudden shyness: Social anxiety, not awkwardness. Student behavior: Deeper issue than awkwardness. Happiness/unhappiness questions: Depends on context. Awkward teacher: May be challenging, not just awkward. Talking to oneself: Context matters, not inherently awkward. Unhealthy eating: Concerning, not just awkward. Laughter clubs: Not awkward, promote social connection.

It's perception. I must say, how differently we analyze. Thanks for this detailed observation. Sudden shyness in him is not awkward, it's for me. Student behavior is a pointer to the system that has gone awkward, in the sense, diverged from what otherwise should be normal. With the right guidance, right education, right parenting, right approach and attitude, no student, even if there are physical problems, would behave differently. Happiness/Unhappiness is not the issue. The awkwardness lies in the question. Of course it is context specific. There's a chairperson who on seeing a student score 100% in the annual exam asked us in a meeting, why has he scored 100%.She might have had something in mind, but we laughed over it for days. Talking to oneself, is not the point. It is he catching me gawking at him made me feel awkward. People exercise to shed that extra weight. Their indulgence in those fast food on their way back, that's awkward. In the sense, why exercise at all, why walk at all if you don't have control over your hunger? Fitness is a different language for the body and mind. People can socialize in many ways, through events, celebrations, festivities, social projects, startups, clubs, informal meetings. Basically, we have forgotten to laugh. My perception on these observations is entirely personal.
