Broken Promises or Conditional Promises?

I have a friend who offered to come help me get all my packed boxes organized and stacked better after I had 3 different teenagers help pack them. She offered to come yesterday or today but did not specify which day. Yesterday she asked me if I wanted to have her pick me up and take me to a town half hour away for our monthly graduating class luncheon since she was coming this way anyway. She also lives in a different town half hour away. It would be a triangle drive to come get me then go to the luncheon. Anyway, I did not want to go due to other issues. So, she didn't even come to my place like she said she would do. So, was it a broken promise, or was it a promise based on conditions she did not mention when she first offered to help me? Either way, I am not happy with it. The job needs done, and she was going to come help. Now it is still not done, and I have to find someone else to help.

She didn't forget. She was planning on coming until I said I didn't want to go to the luncheon.

I think it is best if she informed you ahead of time.
