Day 72 – Special Invitation Exodus 24:1 Now He said to Moses, “Come up to JEHOVAH, you, and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar. 2 Moses alone will come near the LORD, but they will not come near; nor will the people go up with him.” 3 Moses came and told the people the words of JEHOVAH and the judgments. The people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which JEHOVAH said we will do.” 4 Moses wrote the words of JEHOVAH. He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. 5 Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to JEHOVAH. 6 Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. They said, “Everything JEHOVAH said we will do, and be obedient.” 8 Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which JEHOVAH made with you according to all these words.” 9 Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10 and they saw the Elohiym of Israel. Under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, like the heavens in its clarity. 11 On the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. They saw Elohiym, and they ate and drank. 12 Then JEHOVAH said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.” 13 Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of Elohiym. 14 He said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them.” 15 Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain. 16 Now the glory of JEHOVAH rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. On the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 The sight of the glory of JEHOVAH was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 Moses went into the middle of the cloud and went up into the mountain. Moses was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights. God’s name: Elohiym – Mighty God JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Theos – Mighty God – Greek Kurios – God, Lord – Greek Iesous – Jesus - Greek Arnion – Lamb God’s character: Host Mashiyach – Savior Have you received a special invitation to an important function where only a select few people were invited? How did you prepare for the special occasion? Elohiym invited Moses, Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, along with seventy elders to go up the mountain to Him to dine with Him. They alone saw JEHOVAH in all His glory. They ate and drank with Him and talked with Him. When dinner ended, Elohiym told Moses to come up to the top of Mt. Sinai and He would give him the laws and commandments of stone written with His hand. Prior to the invitation to join JEHOVAH for dinner, Moses told the people everything Elohiym told him, and they promised to obey Him. Then Elohiym called Moses to come to Him at the top of the mount where he was with JEHOVAH for forty days and nights. From below, the children of Israel saw a consuming fire in the top of the mountain. A special invitation went out to the whole world the moment Iesous said, “It is finished” from the cross and bowed His head and died. John 3:16 “For Theos so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJV) Three days later, Iesous rose from the dead and the entire world learned about His resurrection and the invitation to come dine with Him. Revelation 19:5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our Theos, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!” 6 I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunder, saying, “Alleluia! For Kurios Theos Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Arnion has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 To her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Arnion!’” He said to me, “These are the true sayings of Theos.” How are you preparing for the marriage supper of the Arnion? Or did you lose your invitation? Israel promised to obey Elohiym in everything He said. What did you promise when you accepted Iesous as your Mashiyach and Kurios? Have you obeyed Him in everything He told you? If so, your righteousness will clothe you as fine linen when you sit down at the marriage supper of the Arnion. You will see His glory and you will dine with Him. If you lose your invitation and don’t prepare for the marriage supper, you will lose out on all Theos offers you. Keep your invitation close, prepare for the marriage supper with your obedience to Him, and you will enjoy the marriage supper with the Arnion. Let’s pray: Father, You sent Your invitation to the entire world. Help me prepare for the marriage supper of Your Son through my obedience to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
