Have you ever suffered sleep paralysis and how long did it lasted

I remember the first time I suffered sleep paralysis, I was very young but it lasted about 10 minutes before I could get out of the bed. I thought within myself, what could have been the reason for this? Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis and how long did your lasted?

I seem to recall it only once. It did not last long..this was many years ago. Do you suffer of it often? It is frightening.

I had sleep paralysis only once in my life so far, and glad of it. I didn't see anything weird or unusual as some people have reported in their own personal experiences. I just woke up from a nap and found myself unable to move any part of my body except for my eyes. It lasted for only a few moments but I never forgot that odd sensation of being unable to move. I think I was still in my 20's at the time.

That's interesting. I think it happens mostly in the earlier days of one's life.

Can’t say I’ve experienced this, but I’ve heard it’s terrible and scary. The only prob I ever encounter is the transition from wakefulness to sleep. It’s as if my mind doesn’t know how to shut down properly, I guess it never learned. Sometimes I hear voices talking, or a random wave of “sound” created in my own mind, a rush of adrenaline, etc. Always at the exact second I’m about to drift off. Lots of bumps in the road but I eventually get there, then I’m happy as a clam. I sleep
