Life is like a mirror

The power went out at noon today and I went out for a meal with three colleagues.
We ordered poached meat slice,octopus,shrimp,some vegetables,and some dishes I can't express in English.
We chatted over the dinner.Although the wind is strong outside,my heart is warm.
There are always people who will help you and greet you when you are not doing as well as you'd like.
Life is like a mirror,you smile at it,it will also smile at you.

We had a power cut a couple of weeks ago during the night. When we have a power cut it sends our cooker into meltdown! 
The time display is now flashing, and the oven doesn't work. We can't set the clock back up and set the oven because the buttons on the front of the cooker don't work. We can't press them in. So for the past two weeks we've been using the oven function on the grill. My Mum can't be bothered to call an expert to come and fix the main oven!
I hope you enjoyed your meal. I've never eaten octopus. What's it like?

Thanks for your sharing Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about the power cut and the issues it caused with your cooker.
As for octopus,it's a unique and interesting seafood.

I don't think I've even seen any octopus in our supermarket. Is it readily available?

As for octopus,it might not be a common item in your supermarket.Probably because I live near the sea, it's more common.
