I hear the beep...

And it is the beep of my washing machine. And that means that I have been on my phone for last 45 minutes. I put the load and sat down with my phone. Couldn't open my laptop as my younger daughter needed it to complete her essay to get admission in her college. Her laptop is acting up. Not sure if it's a virus. My husband plans to try to fix it on weekend or give it to the repair shop. Few of the keys are also not working and she was using a keyboard attached to it in the last one month. She has to submit the essay by 4 in the afternoon. We are going on this Saturday to complete the admission formalities and pay her semester fees. Her Degree college starts from mid June. I visited another site after a long gap and did post there for a while and made few cents. I then came here and commented on a post suggested by one friend here . Now, I should get moving, put the laundry to dry and arrange a few things. I plan to come here in another half an hour and handle the notifications. It's 1:13 PM here and I am free till 2:30. I have one counselling session for a 21 years old from 2:30 to 3:30. Generally, I would do an online session for him, but there are times he wants to come for a physical session. It's sunny and bright here. Last night's rain has done some good to bring down the temperature but it's not good enough. We hope to get some more rain in coming days. See you all in a while. I am getting restless now to get up and get moving. I promise to come back soon Take care.

@arunima25 I'm glad you saw him in person. It's good to help her become independent. Expenses always crop up.

Thank you Valerie.. We will take and arrange all the documents and things that we need. I have made a checklist for her. It will be done quick if I do it. But I want her to get independent with little help from me. I was happy to see him in person. I didn't take sessions for a month and I could see that his anxiety has increased in this one month. He needs to vent out without being judged. We hope that the laptop is fixed. She will need a laptop more for her graduation. If it's not fixed, we will have to buy a new one. Some expenses just pop up.

@just4him Yes, these personal sessions are much more effective. I wish he lived close by and we could do it more. Online video sessions are good but a personal physical interaction is better. That's my goal to make her independent and capable of a purposeful life. We will give the laptop tomorrow to the repair shop. Hopefully it's within our budget.

Oh! Sorry to know about your laptop. I hope that it's fixed. I hope that my daughter's laptop is fixed. She will need it more in her graduation. If it's not fixed, we might have to buy a new one. Not happy when sudden unseen expenses pop up.

The required activities at home never stop! Or do they ?? Best of wishes for the admission process. Today we had clothes piled up for Washing machine wash. I put them all in, dried them and then set them to different racks. Me and my wife do it on different days. She is more expert in the drying and setting part; I am mainly in putting the load in. However, I also put things to dry and set a lot as well. At times, it can be monotonous. Yet it has to be done. I got my home laptop fixed last year - Motherboard issue for around 8.5 K(INR). Now I need either a new laptop with a higher configuration or more RAM. Yet I have to save more money for that. And well, expenses do keep coming up. Have a nice new week.

Thank you. I hope that the new week has started well for you. Have a good one ahead . The admission process is completed. They had planned it well with different counters and volunteer students helping you with everything at different counters. So, it went smooth. There was no overcrowding at any counter as they called people in different slots. So, it was well planned and smooth. Now, the classes will start from last week of June or first week of July. They will let us know a week before. You are right. The household chores are never completed. It goes round and round . And despite it being monotonous, we have to do it. I am coming up with a new plan for the coming month for chores and my work. It will need another discussion topic. I hope to post about it soon

Anytime I anymore I'm in my phone. My computer is running slower than usual but I'm beginning to think maybe I've downloaded to many images that I might want to use for my books. I still have a drive for acd and I'm thinking of burning some files to that to free up some space. I still need to look and see how much space is used up, if it's not that much I might have to take mine to the repair guy too.

Even I am getting used to using phone more these days for my online hustles. Earlier, I was not comfortable with phone and preferred laptop. But now I am using phone anytime and anywhere. I think I am faster on phone these days Yes, freeing up some space can help to improve the speed of your system. Digital cleaning should also be done regularly like we do household cleaning.

Do you mean the counseling session? It's for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. I do it online on Zoom or WhatsApp video call. At times when possible I do it offline. Offline sessions are more effective and I like them better. I am listening to some new Bollywood songs that my daughter is playing on YouTube.

Thank you. We have to go on Saturday. I have made a checklist for her to get the documents and necessary items in place before we go. I can do it quickly but I want her to learn and be independent.

Thank you. As promised, I am back. I just put the laundry to dry and made my bed in the master bedroom upstairs. I could not do that in the morning.
