Good afternoon.

It's been another one of those days. I feel so scaterbrained. I feel like I can't get anything done, but I have. I almost forgot to give George his morning blood thinner pill. But, I also got another box of his formula opened and another order of his underwear ordered. He keeps telling me to size up or size down. Either way. I'm getting it done, I think.
Talked George into going to Pet smart with me today. So, I cleared out my wheelchair so I could use it. In doing so, I found two frozen dinners I'd ordred last week just sitting there. I put them in the freezer, but still kind of sucks that I can be that forgetful. Well, there's always something to do it seems.
On another note, George asked me for milk and drank about half of what I offered him. He's trying. And, I'm happy to give him what he wants.

Would it help if you set timers to keep you on track and keep you going or even to keep you on his medicine schedule? I know that I have a timer or an alarm or whatever is that to remind me to take my meds because I'll make it sometimes

I don't think so. I am normally spot on and religious on everything. I just have an off day sometimes. Plus, I can't pry him out of bed if he doesn't want to be. I kind of have to work around him. It's just with the eliquis I have to stick to the 12-hour schedule. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact he's kind of depressed. The stroke took a lot. We're being told he needs permission from his doctor to drive again, even though his licence is still valid and has no restrictions on it.

@thislittlepennyearns I follow the schedule given to me by them. He's instercuted to take his once every 12 hours (twice a day) so that's what I do.

Is George able to eat regular food, at times? I was wondering if he had progressed this far, in his recuperation.

He is. Sometimes I just have to dump it in his lap (not literally of course) to get him to eat. Sometimes he says regular food upsets his stomach. Hence why I'll back off and just give him tube feeds for a couple of days. He did ask for milk last night which is promising.

@kobesbuddy I do and I am. I only focus on the evening meal right now. And I'm focused on easy to eat ready-made meals. It might be processed, but it's a process. When it came to food, it's been a yo-yo.

@kaylachan After not eating solid foods, reentering solids into his diet will cause stomach upset. I'd recommend making, a little change at a time.

We all have those scatterbrained moments. I had a couple yesterday while doing laundry.

I am always glad when George agrees to go somewhere with me. Even if I sometimes have to talk to him like a child. I do think the outing was a success.
