The violet hibiscus grows well in summer and monsoon.

I have planted the violet hibiscus in pot in the balcony. It was planted in the early summer. Recently there had been heavy rains in Calcutta due to storm Remal. But the violet hibiscus has maintained shape and colour within the 2 seasons.
