Too Early For This

So yesterday we promised an associate that the office would provide a magician for an event held for the benefit of children with cancer this June 1, 2024. We assigned one of our colleagues to look for a magician and have it done. Will she was able to accomplish the task. Now, the associate is contacting me because the magician appeared at the venue on this very day, May 29, 2024. and I am utterly embarrassed and speechless about this mishap. This colleague of mine won't even answer our calls. Ugh. Hope everything will turn out okay.

It's really not. The magician stood outside the venue as early as 7:30 in the morning because he was told that the event was today.
