In India the vegetable ladies finger is called bhendi. Poppy seed is crushed into pulp and is called khaskhas in hindi and posto in Bengali. Bhendi posto is a lovely curry. It is cooked by cutting the ladies finger into small pieces adding potatoes and also posto. It is eaten both with rice and chapatis
