Not shopping today, and some painting I did yesterday.

I'm not going shopping today because of the weather, and because we haven't really got anything that we need to get. Yesterday, before I want to art class, I started on the above rose painting. I had drawn the rose out earlier in the week, and went over the pencil marks with white gel pen to make it stand out better. I painted in the bottom petal with scarlet paint. I went over the white gel pen, but then when I looked closely I could see that, even though the white gel pen had been covered, the actual pencil marks were showing through. I went over them with thicker paint to try to get rid of them. I then painted in the next petal up which goes up and meets the one at the top. Then I went to art class, and when I came back, after EastEnders, I went back and did some more to the rose painting. I painted more scarlet in places, and mixed scarlet with deep red for other places. A little bit near the top was painted with just deep red. And I did a bit near the top with a pinky colour to show where the light's shining on it. Then I left it to dry. I'll add some darker areas next time. After that I got the wolf drawing and painted a background in very dark green. I then left that to dry aswell. Then I got my small green canvas that I'm painting a little landscape on and did some background trees and flowers on that. Then I left that to dry. I had a lot of paint left over that I didn't want to waste again, so I got out some more blank canvases. I painted one small canvas with a pinky red colour, and I painted another small one in the very dark green colour. I still had a lot of the very dark green colour left, so I painted a larger square box canvas with that, and I left them all to dry. What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well.
