Yesterday, people hung out after church.
There's a guy who owns a restaurant a few towns away, but has been coming to our church on Sunday. Yesterday, he brought a bunch of cards that a lady who was a patron at his restaurant brought. He says he buys them all, then gives them away. I took a few. If I understood him right, the lady buys cards, embellishes them, and sells them.
The cards were before the service, after the service, when we were "hanging out", I was telling him how my Mom, who was from Canada, occasionally wound up getting Canadian change in her purse. I remembered once she was paying at a checkout and gave the cashier a Canadian dime, and the cashier looked at it strangely ("What the heck did you just give me?"). His response was giving me a silver Canadian five-dollar coin.
Whoa.
Whoa.

One side says "Fine Silver--1oz".

That really is a surprise. Kind of cool, too.

I thought so--for both things.

Whoa is right! Double whoa even. You know it's worth more than $5.
