My college best friend and her mom won't be able to visit today because they're both ill. The mom is recovering from heat exhaustion and my friend hasn't been getting enough food and sleep 'cause she's the only one looking after her. Too bad we won't be able to get together before my family goes on vacation. Then again, it's probably a blessing in disguise because I'll be needing the day to pack stuff, list down some errands, and have the wifi router fixed. I don't usually get to do things when she's with me because we just end up talking and talking and talking. 
Oh, it's 8:42 a.m. I will have to make breakfast now before I get too hungry. Thinking of spam and over-easy eggs and maybe some braised anchovies? All would go well with yesterday's rice.

I remember being in this phase where work never seemed to end and I just wanted to be away and take a lifetime of vacation. 
I didn't really get the forever vacation. I just quit my corporate job and became a freelancer working from home.

@HaruLoid Looking back, I should've just opted for a clerical government position in some agency or bureau that does not need to deal with a lot of people.

@almostoveryou I really find corporate jobs to be exhausting compared to government jobs.
I really can't see myself do work from home jobs. I worry that I would lose interest to socialising anyone.

I pray that tomorrow will be better! I don't think my friend and I would still get the chance to meet. I'm already pressed for errands and she has to stay home with her ailing mom. We'll probably just video chat this weekend. :)

Flying to California next week. Staying in San Jose most days. Will be in the US for a month :) I hope the weather won't be too hot!!

@jstory07 Yes, I hope so too. The heat wave that we've had here in SE Asia recently was just too much. I guess that's why I'm not too excited to be experiencing another summer. 
I've checked San Jose weather for next week. It's going to be hot during the day but cold at night. I think that's fair enough.
