So, a former colleague, law school classmate and friend came to town to check visit me.
She passed the Bar Exam first on her first take last 2022, and now she's working at a government agency with an Attorney position, having one of the highest paid salary.
Meanwhile, here I am, also passed the Bar Exam but on her second take last 2023. Still at a low paying position, and still hasn't been hired by any government agency for an Attorney position.
She was expecting me to have the same status as her. I just smiled and didn't disclose the fact that my status is still the same as before. Low paying job and not in an Attorney position.
I can't stop comparing myself to her or to anyone else. I just cried when I got home cause I do feel like a failure despite everything.
Here I am again, asking when it will be my turn.

You are not a failure. When the time is right, you'll get that dream job.

That's what I always tell myself, but then I started to ask. When?
