The bittergourd plantations are lovely. In the countryside macha is created of small covering. The bittergourd which is called karela in hindi and ucche in bengali grow from the top of the branches to the bottom. They are watery so require less sunlight.

@sathviksouvik I buy it from the market too. I wonder if "freshly picked" tastes better (that seems to be the case with something like strawberries).

I checked out the YouTube links you provided. Dr. Souvik Chatterji seems to have some interesting videos about bittergourd. If you're into gardening or just curious about bittergourd cultivation, those videos could be quite informative!

I love eating bitter gourd. This is the first time I see a bitter gourd plantation.
