I've been kind of quiet

Not that nothing is happening, it has been.
However, I hate to post bad things, and almost everything hasn't been very good.
One good thing was I got to see the eclipse. Over 5 minutes of the eclipse. I was at my best friend's place in Kerrville Texas. Another friend asked if she could join us. I asked my bestie before I said anything. So, I got to see this friend. Now, this friend I last saw in 2022 in early December. But, I offered to drive her back to Houston. I spent the night at her place before I came home.
I was supposed to have PT on Wednesday. You know, get up, drive from Houston to Austin and have PT. I'd've done it - except... well, now we will talk about some of the bad news.
You see, my blood pressure was too high the second time I tried to go to PT. I broke out my wife's BP machine and... it has steadily been mostly too high. In fact, that day the PT doc, not the one I had been seeing, called me back and told me to go the the ER. I told him, no! Now... if I had been in Austin, I might've, but I wasn't. I was in HOUSTON! My friend has a helper who comes in. She totally agreed with me about going to the ER in Houston. So, I packed up my stuff, and drove home. By then, the PT place was pretty close to closing and I just took my BP, decided it wasn't that high and that was, as they say, that.
I have been to the doctor about my BP. I'm not finding a medication I can take... oh well...
"But you are in the stroke level of blood pressure!" Yeah, I know it, I just have other things I have to worry about more... I mean, I'm pretty sure if I took a medication with what I can't take... I would more than likely really have a stroke. Or... maybe what is too low a blood pressure does? I've had that too, not lately, but had it. At the pain doc's on Monday my BP was 142/82 and I know that is pretty dog gone good if you had heard what those other ones are...
A good thing - I got to go see my sister at the end of May, came home on June 3 to 2 fewer cats - a bad thing.
The roommate's mother passed on December 1st last year, it looks like her father could go anytime... not good stuff.
Just not the greatest year and it isn't exactly done...
Hope your year has been better.

My husband had a stroke and I went from wife to care giver in the blink of an eye. He's come so far in his recovery, and is making more effort to be more active. He has some challenges, but we're working through them. One day at a time. I would consider taking your blood preasure more seriously. A stroke can come on suddenly.

@ElicBxn Don't think I've ever had one, but I know what a 10 out of 10 feels like. So I get it. There has to be options out there for you, though.

@kaylachan I look for myself, but it would be helpful if someone with more medical knowledge than myself would also look...

@ElicBxn I know, but that's not always possible. Getting doctors to do anything can be a task and a half most of the time.

I haven't been posting much either... just don't feel like anything I have to "share" is all that interesting. But I do know that if your blood pressure is too low, you can't get up from lying down without falling down...
