That's GOOD!

I've been having trouble with my gut since about May of 2022. I got in and saw a GI specialist for it since then. In the fall I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy and he discovered I had an ulcer. He couldn't figure out what was going on with the large intestine, but I was put on a medicine - not the first one he wanted because of the corn protein in it. So, he went with a second one, this one is actually being prescribed off list. It is a kind of cholesterol medication, but it is also fine for cutting down on stomach acid. The medication, however, is a powder that needs to be mixed in two to eight oz of water or some other thing, such as apple sauce. I have, there for, been eating apple sauce nearly every day for the last two-ish years. And... I started getting headaches in May. Some pretty bad. Now, I get headaches for all kinds of reasons, but when I went to see Dr. Brown back in the mid to late 1980s I tested allergic to apples. However, until 2022 I never ate apples daily. I got to thinking... maybe these headaches are related to the apples... so, I started avoiding apples by mixing the medication with other things. The first day I tried with water. No headache, well, no more than a normal low level one I got up with. These ones can get bad, but most of the time once I rehydrate and eat some I feel better. However, while I could do it, it was gritty, hard to mix because it is such a fine powder and I really don't care to chew my water. The next two days I had a pudding I mixed it in. This tasted great, I couldn't taste the medicine, which has a pleasant orange flavor, but it did make the pudding gritty. It was a really good pudding by the way, dark chocolate. And it wasn't made with corn so it was safe. The final day I mixed it in some yogurt. I was then at my "pay day." I get my social security on the last Thursday of the month and my retirement on the last working day of the month. I got some plain yogurt, it was good. I got some baby food... And today I was going to use one of those. It is Pear Cinnamon Oatmeal cereal and it is GOOD! OMG! I had to add some fluid, but I have Constant Comment tea and a couple of milliliters of that has it nice and smooth. Maybe you are afraid of trying baby food... but this one is good!

I wish! I've had migraines since I was 12, I inherited them from my father. I am seldom without a headache, but it if is bad enough to warrant a mention, it is worse than normal.

That's good that it worked for you. I have eaten baby food before. The Gerber Rice Cereal mixed with a little sugar and milk is something I craved back in the day when I had an iron deficiency. It has extra iron for growing babies.

I've heard it is good, but I'm looking for something I don't have to add anything except my medicine. However, a few drops of tea didn't really count. I probably could've gotten it smooth without the tea if I had worked harder.

I'll probably go with the yogurt too, but this was tasty! I can not complain about the flavor. I know they used to add sugar and salt so the adult didn't mind it, but since I seldom salt anything it was good for me.
