In May, I signed up for Amazon Prime free trial. Later I realized that I had not let them know that I am on Medicaid..and when the trial is up I would only be paying $6.99. I Finally found their Chat Room, and the Rep. told me that Amazone would let me know 3 days before the trial was over that it was about to expire and I could change it then. Well...No email came, and I had forgotten about it. They charged me the $14.99.
Today I went to Amazon and after going back and forth and looking for the Chat Room, I FINALLY found it, and chatted with Alan...LOL I told him the problem, and he came back to me and told me to go and cancel my Prime, then come back in under the reduced deal.
I went to cancel..I had choices..I could keep this month as it is until the 29th, I could cancel and get a full refund, OR I could just cancel Today. I chose to keep it open until the 29th and marked it on my calendar This Time. I may need to order something before the 29th, and I can watch movies. Anyway, I feel like paying $6.99 a month will cover all the shipping charges as Tom orders some health stuff from there and has to pay shipping...He won't now.
But...we will see what happens the 29th...LOL I just don't trust any of these places anymore. Anyone else had a problem with Prime Or Amazon?

I signed up for Amazon Prime half price because I’m on Medicaid (got a few snide comments here for revealing that), and I’ve been thrilled with that decision. The shipping alone, not having to order the minimum for free shipping is such a relief. I only use their “TV” service for Thursday Night football in the fall, but that’s nice to have too.
Now, they have lost a few of my packages, but they gave me a refund for that.

From Amazon, no. Well, more Fedex's fault and not Amazon. I'd ordered something and it came on a Fedex truck with my husband's tube formula. According to Amazon the package was lost, but it's not.... not really.

Amazon is a place with millions of customers. And I think the reminding system might have malfunctioned. Because they have so many customers to cater to. If the systems are in place correctly they identify the dates and the calculations are done accordingly.
What I am ssying is a totally wild guess. I don't have any idea how the back office functions. But I am happy for you that your problem has finally been resolved.

I am currently on the free trial because I only order from Amazon when I get gift cards so I figured why sign up for Prime, Then I did because I got things for less in one day, Now I am considering perhaps keeping with Prime up until say October and see how I deal with that 14.99 and decide when autumn comes,

I haven't had any major problems with Amazon. They are usually on point. Have a good day. I hope it all works out for you.
