After the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja from the T20 international matches, who will India look up to in the future? What are your picks?

I was reading an article in Times of India news site that BCCI and the selectors might prefer SKY (Suryakumar Yadav) as the next T 20 captain instead of Hardik Pandya. Reasons being inconsistency in the Indian team's performance under his T 20 captaincy last year, Mumbai Indians' record under him and a few more issues. But personally, I like Hardik as a leader. Permanent T 20 captaincy could burden SKY more. Apart from that my picks : Shubman Gill & Yashaswi Jaiswal/Abhishek Sharma Sanju Samson/ Rishabh Pant Axar Patel Shivam Dubey / Rinku Singh as per the match situation Hardik Pandya Washington Sundar Mukesh Kumar Arshdeep Singh Ravi Bishnoi Reserves being : Avesh Khan, Ishan Kishan, Dhruv Jurel, Khaleel Ahmad, Riyan Parag, Tushar Deshpande

Well, there's no doubt Hardik Pandya is a good captain. And captaining skills of SKY will be surely tested in the days to come. He doesn't have that much experience, to be honest. Now the thing here is, you might remember when Sachin Tendulkar became the captain. When he was given the charge, he said he wanted his team to be world-beaters. That's obviously attacking nature that reflected. But Sachin might have conquered the minds of his fans, I am also one of his diehard fans. But captaincy was something he couldn't handle. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Now, at this moment, SKY is batting good. And he has his confidence at a high, especially after taking that catch. And giving him the tough role won't be wrong either. But that shouldn't hamper his batting. Captaining India is not easy, especially with the expectations of their fans. Anyway, your list looks good enough. But when it comes to the wicket-keeping thing, there's one more strong name - Ishan Kishan. Can't forget that guy and can't keep him away. Remember, he has a double ODI hundred to his name.

@abhi_bangal Both the ODI and T 20 teams list is out - for the Sri Lanka tour. Rohit & Virat are back for ODIs. As for T 20s, SKY is the captain. Ishan Kishan is not in the team as the main keeper in the ODIs would be Rishabh Pant and K.L.Rahul. Shreyas Iyer is back for the ODIs.

@abhi_bangal There is a lot of competition for place in Indian XI. Yuzi Chahal could not get even a single game during the T 20 World Cup. A player of great calibre like Shikhar Dhawan could not get into ODI or T 20 World Cup team. To add here : I have a special regard for Shikhar Dhawan. And now in the T 20 team, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan have to sit out.
