Firefighters in Alabama rescue a man who jumped into a river

Firefighters from the Childersburg Fire and Rescue Department were dispatched to the Coosa River Bridge which is the border crossing of Talladega and Shelby Counties when a man whose name was not released fell 80 feet into the river on Monday morning. The firefighters were able to find the man who was floating on his back in the river in severe pain when the firefighters were able to take him to the riverbank where a helicopter took him to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries he suffered in the fall from jumping off in the middle of the bridge. Why did the man jump off of the bridge into the river is under investigation by the authorities. Hopefully the accident victim will make a full recovery from his injuries.
