India began their tour of Sri lanka with a win over Sri Lanka by 43 runs.
India made 213 for 7, courtesy a free flowing opening stand of 74 between Jaiswal(40) and Shubman Gill(34) in just 5.6 overs.
Both got out at the team score of 74.
Then captain Suryakumar Yadav took over. He scored 58 of 26 with 8 4s and 2 6s. Rishabh Pant made 49.
In reply, Sri Lanka started well. Pathum Nissanka was at his best and scored 79 of 48 balls.
He and Kusal Mendis (45 of 27)had an opening stand of 84.
At one point, Sri Lanka were 140 for 1.
However, Axar Patel: 2 for 38, Arshdeep 2 for 24 and Riyan Parag - 3 for 5 put brakes and they lost their last 9 wickets for just 30 runs !
A good win but India needs to improve in all the three departments with some focus.

Yes it won. To understand more, may be you can check a few sites about the game of Cricket and T 20 International Cricket, which is gaining popularity in more and more games.

@everwonderwhy, That is why the ICC organised this year's cricket World Cup in the US. Actually the tournament concluded last month with India winning the title. The aim of organizing the tournament there was to promote the sport in your region.

India had a good start to the 3-match series, and a thrilling end. I think everyone got to play their part in all the 3 games. The scores were good because India batted well. Bowlers again came to the party, as they did in the famous last 3 overs of the final.
I think, they need to improve. But this is a young team with a young captain. They will surely improve in the days to come. Let's keep faith in our players.

It is a good start for the new coach and captain. Risabh missed his fifty by a whisker .The Indian batting was good. Coming to Srilanka, they had a really good start till the 13th over, they had the match in their hands .From then on, it was wickets falling. Their middle order is fragile and there is lot of work to do there for Sanath Jayasuriya and coaching team. They lack belief in themsleves to take things forward. India would have to improve on their fielding and bowling.Hopefully it is a young team and by the next T20 world cup, would be better in all departments. Good win for India!
