Assessing a person in terms of their behaviour and traits is something that companies and Governmnt agencies are trying to figure . Consider a rude teacher who has good qualifications . What kind of values do such teachers bring to our children ? I have seen teachers who have body shamed , insulted and ridiculed children in front of the whole class. Then , there are some professionals like doctors , government officials who often show lack of empathy or the minimum courtesy to the people approaching them.
At same time, we would seen teachers, doctors or government officials who aprt from their qualifications display good ethics and values. We feel better and would feel there is a better world thanks to them. They pass good values to the people around them.
So , question is should we not have a behavioural screening as part of any job hiring ? Should it be mandatory or optional?

I am not opposed to that kind of screening depending on what job one is applying for. You might end up screening out someone who might end up causing workplace violence. You could end up screening out a child predator in a teaching capacity. Is that totally fair? Well, no, because behavioral screenings could be flat out wrong. But in some jobs, I feel like the unfairness is worth the risk.

Yes. Screening, character references, police background checks, clearances, previous employment, legal proof of citizenship. Must be checked thoroughly.

I'm pretty torn about that because how one acts in life is not always how they act in a job. I'm a completely different person when I'm working versus with my parents versus with my friends. It's a touchy subject really.

I agree on the fact we exhibit different behaviour while at work and at home. However, it would be a good idea to assess whether there are any negative traits or behaviours that could be detrimental in the profession. Thanks for sharing!
