Today's trip to the big Tesco. (30/7/2024)

Today (Tuesday) we went to the big Tesco instead of tomorrow (Wednesday). Actually, it's yesterday now because it's way passed midnight again! We went today (yesterday) because tomorrow (today) our new cooker is supposed to be coming but we don't know what time, so we're going to stay in all day ready for when he comes! I hope I haven't confused you too much there! We got there and I got rid of the soft recycle. My Mum got a trolley but it had a wonky wheel, so she asked a guy who was collecting trolleys if she could swap hers for one of his. They stood there talking about trolleys for a few minutes!. Anyway, we went up on the lift, and we got 2 What's On TV magazines that we would have got from the little Tesco. I went to look at the other magazines round the other side, but there was nothing interesting there for me. The ones that were interesting for me I'd already got. So I went to get my bottle of water and 3 prawn layered salads! It didn't take long to work out that this trolley we'd got wasn't much better! I couldn't push it very well, it felt like I was trying to push it through treacle! Anyway I found out it was because one of the wheels wasn't turning, so I managed to get it turning again and then it was OK for a bit. Also my toes on my right foot started rubbing me! I thought the sock itself was the problem but I've worn 3 different pairs of socks over the last couple of days with the same outcome. So now I think it's the shoe. Anyway it was really painful. My Mum got some Vitamin D tablets and I got her some pads. Then we went to the fruit and veg section and got the usual stuff. I got 3 lots of edamame beans this week because of not knowing when the new cooker is coming so not knowing if I could cook something for lunch. After that we got the milk and puddings, a smoothie and some cheese and mini pork pies. I got a pot noodle for Syd and then we went to get some cakes. Num wanted some cakes for her and Syd's supper tonight, and some more cakes. She got 4 chocolate eclairs for her and Syd so they can have one tonight and one tomorrow night. Then we got some sugar. Then I went and got some Ribena and some mini cheddars for me. Then I went and got some Love, Corn and Mum got some honey roasted peanuts. Then I went and got some honey cheerios for Syd and some Alpen for me. Then we went to the frozen section and I got my vegan magnum ice lollies and some salmon chunks. My Mum got what she wanted. Then I got some toilet paper for Syd and then we went to pay. All the way round the big Tesco I had been trying to walk on my heel to stop my toes from rubbing, but without much success! And the wheels on the trolley kept freezing up (only one at a time!) and I had to keep getting them going again! Anyway we put the items on the conveyer and Mum stood at the end with a divider to stop anyone else starting to put their stuff on before we'd finished! It came to just over £119. After I'd payed I went to sit on a bench with my Mum, and I was quite relieved to get the weight off my feet! But not for long because when I looked at my watch it was 4:27pm! I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap and then we went down on the lift again. Syd was already there ofcause so we packed up our groceries and went home! I couldn't wait to get home and get my socks and shoes off and get some relief from the rubbing! Then we unpacked the groceries and put them away. I had my dinner and watched some telly.
