Utter Sci-fi Nonsense

Some people claim that a sun simulator has replaced the real sun. I just heard this claim earlier, and it sounded like something straight from a sci-fi novel.
It's right on par with things like "Nikola Tesla was an alien" to me. Utter rubbish, conspiracy theories get wilder every year.

@jnrdutton Yeah. It would make more sense if it was April Fools Day!
I mean, who would go up there and place the simulator? And what's supposed to have happened to the real sun? 
It would be a great plot for a Doctor Who story though. Like Kill The Moon where it's revealed that the Moon is actually an egg!
