We've had a MAJOR set back on the cabin

I don't know why MEN can't listen to their spouse's when they tell them to shut things down cause of bad weather & they DON'T listen & keep going. I'm not very happy about this not 1 BIT, & he has messed up ROYALY by not doing like I had asked & he admits he should have listened but didn't. He was working on the window frame in the bathroom & we had watched the weather B-4 he got started so it's not like he didn't know the weather was going to get bad. I had just went out to check on him after I got my stuff stuff done when I seen the weather starting to change & told him to shut everything down 30 mins B-4 hand. Well when I didn't see him come in I went back out to check on him & sure enough it was my WORST fear I seen his hand wrapped up & I asked what happened. He said, you know how I was telling you how dangerous the table saw was? I said yeah & he took the wrap off' & I freaked the flip out, I came UNDONE at the seams folks. He had cut 1/2 his thumb off, I'm not joking I'm serious I knew it was going to happen 1 day & sure enough it did, I always tell him to BE CAREFULL but does he? no. I told him to get in the house & well he almost didn't make it he almost past out on me outside & I knew I couldn't lift him or tug on him to get him in the house & no 1 was around. My sugar & BP went out the door on me I got wheezy & I knew I had to keep myself from going down to get him in the house as soon as I could, I had just taken my insulin just B-4 that too. I managed to get him inside & thank god I did, cause I knew this wasn't good, & I got some ice with water & put his hand in it & I knew it was going to hurt like ?? but it had to be done. After 2 hrs & me telling him he HAD to go to the hosp there was no way I could do anything with it till he went to the hosp so finally after 2 hrs we went to the hosp & they freaked too. They got him in as fast as they could & 3 hrs later got him bandaged up, but they had to take me out of the room cause I wasn't in good shape with my sugar & BP all out of whack. So yeah a long story short, spouse's please listen when they tell you to shut things down & don't be stupid thinking that you just have to get something done, it can wait till later. Cause now he admits he should have listened & now we're at a set back cause this coming month, I have a vet visit, 2 dr appts, bills, & now this with him going to the dr to get healed up.
