When Beryl hit on July 4 2024 Stress arrived as a falling brick wall.
It didn't just destroy that or flood this it took away electricity, water, phone and internet service.
Without electricity there is no light, the food in the fridge spoils, there is no microwave or toaster or coffee maker, etc.
Without water, if one doesn't have a tank, they'll be buying water from one of the few open shops.
Without phone service there is isolation. Unable to contact others, unaware if they are dead or need help, nor do they know your circumstance.
Without Internet, which has become central to our lives, (replacing everything from radio, television, and human interaction), we feel abandoned.
Electricity came on the 8th, and was up and down. Water has also been sporadic.
One cell service has been down in my area since the 4th, the other is mostly working.
Internet was up and down and one provider didn't return until the 25th of July.
Some places in Jamaica are still without electricity, water, cell service, and of course, internet.

I hope help with delivery of supplies can arrive as soon as possible. And relief agencies can get to people quickly. Preparing for such emergencies is so important and having necessities on hand. Water , battery operated radio, flashlights medicine and more. We can only plan , but we never know what will happen. Hoping everything turns out well very soon.

we thought we were prepared. Yah. I have a tank so I wasn't water deprived. Electricity was off and on and I took to unplugging Internet down for 21 days and my phone is still down. There are people giving supplied to those who need. Fortunately, I'm okay.

We get our fair share of hurricanes. You will bounce back. You will be just fine.

Sounds like they are going to take longer times. Nature always speaks louder and I feel like it is sometimes making us to learn how to live without them but to rely on available resources
