We all need motivation to complete challenging tasks or assignments. Motvation can be external or self driven.
The ambition to succeed often pushes people to innovation and creativity. The freedom is more when the ambition to succeed is the motivator. In some cases, it is more sustainable and more rewarding on long term basis.
According to sae, fear of failure is more tangible than the desire to succeed. It often triggers the fight or flight response that can be great for focus and determination. Fear of failure are better motivators in certain environments compared to desire to succeed.
So do you believe that fear of failing is a better motivatore than the desire/amnition to succeed?

Both can be powerful, but I think it depends on the person and situation. And if I may add too - it can also be about balance. Fear might get you started, but ambition can keep you going.
