It's a great move. It was so heartfelt to see the entire atmosphere filled with tricolour in this Independence Day. I love my motherland and I am proud to be an Indian.

thanks Arunimaji looking at the horrible breaking of law and order in Bangaldesh and many other countries I feel India has created the democratic set up much better and there is more peace in the country

@sathviksouvik Yes. Unfortunately, some in opposition are just spreading the fake threat that India might go like Bangladesh. It's unfortunate how much one can stoop to gain some political brownies.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji there is a bad trend of opposition in states also. In Calcutta doctor was raped and killed in a hospital. Now there is CBI enquiry about the incident. But while protests are justified few vandalists had broken equipments of the hospitals few days back which should be condemned.

I had also hoisted our flag on that day. Well, you know, it's a proud moment for us to hoist our flag this way. It gives goosebumps when you see the flag fluttering in the air after being hoisted. There's another level of pride that just cannot be described in words. Those are lovely moments.
I do this ritual every year. I think it's the third year I've hoisted our national flag. It gives a sense of love towards our country.

You are right since my late mom who is from Panama knows the saying which is "Love the nation of your birth like you love your mom."
