Original Character Art and Notes

Dear all, This is my latest design. A dog-like creature (original character) with a heart background. The puppetizing (for lack of a better term) was done in a special effects suite. The rest was done in digital painting programs, the puppetizing was the final touch. Anyway, I am happy to share this and I look forward to everyone's thoughts as always. Thanks for checking it out.

I would certainly encourage that, it's a lot of fun and can be used in so many fields, I doubt you'd ever get bored!

@evans777 I would suggest sketchbook software like HiPaint. Other software that's classic is Adobe Photoshop and Corel Paintshop Pro. Those should be enough to get you started.
