Work From Home: Can you still make money through writing today?

It was all good in the past, less competitors and no AI stuff. I went on hiatus though. Maybe about 8 years ago when mother-in-law got sick and it's only a few of us taking care of her.
Writing is always in my heart but so much happened over the years. I still seem to find it hard getting back to it.

Definitely , things have changed in last few years. With Gen AI , the content opportunities are less , as people are able to generate the content they need for their websites. Again, for writers, they have to reduce the rates as with AI most writing materials are now generated with help of Gen AI. The competition became harder and tougher to get through. There are very limited ones and sometimes only for specific niches. If you know a bit of SEO and few related things, then there are a few more opportunities than just copywriting or content creation
