Oral health /Oral hygenie is as important as overall health and personal hygenie.Mouthwash is often effective in reducing plaque and gingivitis and is useful. It can complement brushing and flossing which are crucial and thus serve as a supplement.
Some people view mouthwash as an optional luxury while others see it as essential part of their personal hygiene. They see mouthwash as a luxury as it adds an extra to overall oral care routines.
For those with specific dental issues such as with gum disease, mouthwash is not a luxury but a necessity. It can help in preventing buildup of bacteria especially in areas where toothbrushes cannot reach.
Perhaps everything depends on individual oral health needs and personal preferences.
So what’s your take on mouthwash being a luxury or a necessity?

For me personally, it's more a luxary. It just makes my stomach turn and my mouth is abut the same with it as it is without it.

My take on that is: Mouthwash is more of a nice-to-have than a must-have. It can help with fresh breath and kill some bacteria, but it's not a replacement for brushing and flossing. Brushing is the most basic and essential part of oral care, and everything else is just a supplement. So, if someone enjoys the extra freshness, great; if not, it's not a big deal.
