Flying in an aircraft

Yesternight I dreamt I was traveling from Nairobi to LO in America. It seemed a very interesting and fascinating experience, only that I was a bit scared of the height. I personally havent travelled by plane before. For those who've been lucky to board a flight, how is the real experience? do you feel the speed? Are there challenges up there? Kindly share with me!

When the plane take off, it is a bit bumpy when reaching the clouds. Then, it will be smooth.
