Confidence is a quality that can allow people to capture opportunities and take bold steps. In team , it inspires trust , motivates team and definitely create a strong personal brand.
Competence on the other hand is all about the necessary knowledge and skills. With competence ,we would be able to perform activities and tasks effectively. It is for our competence, we are mostly valued in a society or organization.
Confidence without competence would lead to poor decision making and failures.
Competence without confidence would result in missed opportunities due to lack of belief in capabilities.
So, for success it should be a balance of both . However, question which quality should have an upper hand in order to attain success . Is it confidence or competence?

You'll be fine if you are both - confident and competent! They just complement each other.

Competence is more important than confidence.
People with confidence are just a bunch of pretendence

Competence is definitely important . It is an interetsing observation that people with too much confidence are just pretenders. Thanks for sharing!
