Firefighters rescue one man who was in the Illinois River

Firefighters from the Peoria Fire Department were dispatched to the Illinois River on Tuesday morning when the man who jumped into the river for a reason that he did not reveal to the firefighters who used a rescue boat to save his life. The identity of the man who was rescued by the firefighters was not released to the public was taken by a crew from Advanced Medical Transport to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries. What makes this story interesting is that the injured man refused to get into his own boat when the fire department rescue boat picked him out of the river just outside of Detweiller Marina.
