Do traditional wallets more durable than modern ones?

Physical wallets have been a cornerstone of personal organization when it comes to carrying cash, cards or identification cards. Leather or fabric, they come in various styles and designs. For some, the wallets also serve as a reflection of their personal style. Traditional wallets were made from high quality leather and fabric and had a reputation of being more durable. I have seen my dad using the same wallet for over 20 years and there was not a mark of single wear and tear on the wallet. Modern wallets use synthetic materials and have advanced designs and features. Some, if not all, are made with durable materials. However, most modern wallets do not seem to have the durability than the traditional ones. They have wear and tear and not sure if it has to do with designs or with the materials. So, what’s your take, do you feel that traditional wallets are more durable than modern ones?
