Are School /college reunions more fun or are they more stressful?

School/College reunions is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and mates and share memories. Visiting old classrooms can bring a sense of joy and belonging. Recently, I was invited by one of my school mates for a school reunion. For some reason, I did not feel it was going to be a fun reunion. It seems to be an opportunity for some of them to showcase their personal and professional achievements. When I discussed with my school friends, there seems to be tension around. Not all of my class mates have been able to establish well in personal and professional lives. Moreover, very few have become rich and most are middle class or lower middle class. Again, some would not be attending the reunion due to their current life challenges and also not to face their former adversaries and crushes. I feel this reunion is for comparing what each one has achieved after school and boast about the same. Do you think school/college reunions can be fun or are they stressful over a period of time?
