I evidently didn't say "Good morning" this morning because I just went out the door. I asked a couple of ladies in the Food Bank line who live at the place I'm trying to get into where the manager office was. One told me, and I went over, but the sign on the door said closed. When I came back, the second of the two ladies said they have "Closed" on the door all of the time because the management is terrible, and the first lady was surprised it was closed. So, I'll have to try another time--I guess next week. The younger of the two ladies offered to exchange phone numbers in case I needed help over there, but sadly my phone--at least the microphone, according to my neighbor I took it to--decided to stop working. I can hear the person on the other end, but they can't hear me. There were some Veterans there at the parking lot where the Food Bank is held today--I think they've been there most weeks lately. They were on the side of the parking lot where folks called the "Downtown Streets Team" have showers, food, and clothes for homeless folks. The guys at the Vet's table told me to take as much food as I wanted, so I took a bagful of mostly canned stuff--tuna and the like. I got food from the line for the food bank, and part of the way through it, the older of the two ladies I had spoken to earlier asked if I wanted some stuff from her Senior box (Seniors get an extra box of stuff besides what the Food Bank offers) so, I went back and took what she offered--which I think was most of the box, as they gave me the box, too. So, my cart was extra heavy to pull back home, but thank the Lord I made it. Later I'll go to the office and see if I can use their phone to call my phone provider and see if they can fix my phone mic remotely, or if I need a new phone or what. It's been a day so far, and I am tired already. Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
