It took me ages to talk to a human being.

I was trying to get an appointment with a dermatologist as they finally had empty dates. But everytime I tried to continue booking it, they would ask for something else. And it was always a machine. I have never learned how to talk with one of them although I know several languages. Finally I discovered that I had a number in my cellphone. I called and a girl with a weird accent answered. I don´t much like those people from call centers as I don´t even know that they are answering from this city OR country. But it seems that I have an appointment for September 25. My skin rash cna either be gone by then or I might have died of it. But either way, I think that it is a good idea to have the appointment . I am now going to check whether I have to make an appointment soon for the traumatologist who gisves me my pain pills. I have tosee him as the pills are very expensive if I don´t have the special prescription. To you have any meds in your country that are partly paid by the National Health Care System?

Those machines are one sided. they only hears words they needed to hear. Or maybe they just know numbers. In the city where I vote, they gave us free meds but limited to what they gave. Our health card has a program now that gives free meds for hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol

@rakski In my country, a doctor signs a paper that says that you have a certain ailment and with that paper you go to the health service and they start you on the treatment. But you have to be in that list. My cancer was in that list and so was Anita´s. So we were both treated although I also had a better health insure and she didn´t. But people who are run over by a car or bus are not in the list so they have to use their money. Cars must be insured against hitting someone but the insurance is very low.

@marguicha yep those AI are annoying at times. Government have different programs here but it is quite difficult to get in because they require a lot of documents

What national health care system? Our medical is broken as hell. And no two insurances are the same. I'm glad you finally talked to a human.

We have a national health system plus health insurance if you want to have quicker care. Here, too, no 2 insurances are the same. It depends on how much you pay. But the health system is something basic that is the same for everyone.

I´m very happy. I have a great imagination and have had 5 skin cancers taken off in my life. I treated this rash with every possible cream or pill around. Now I´m passing.

That is a not good response. We do have a healthcare system in India that pays for the patient, but thats mostly for the underpriveleged. We do have Government sponsored medical stores which does give medicines at affordable rates and sometimes very cheap. For rest , we need to pick our appointment at the hospitals or clinics, but we do get the appointments fairly earlier and the treatment is generally faster. When COVID vaccines were available, they were available for free and we could have them in most locations including at our workplace. There is capping on medicines for certain ailments as well and thats applicable to the public.

We have medical insurance that we purchase. There is no National Health Care System in place. I'm glad you were able to get an appointment. I hope you are having a good weekend.
